The wine is classified as a Vin de Pays du Val de Loire as there is no allowance for red wine in the Muscadet AOC.
Pépière owns 1.4 hectares of Cabernet Franc. The oldest vines were planted in 1973, the rest in 2000, 2005 and 2010.
Vin de Pays du Val de Loire
Destemmed with only the free-run juice used for the wine. It is fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, followed by around five months of aging in stainless steel. S02 additions are three grams per hectoliter after malolactic fermentation.
